Medical Supply Chain Management for Smarter Clinic Procurement

eDopamine’s integrated B2B medical supply platform connects clinics directly with trusted suppliers. Automate reordering, manage inventory in real time, and streamline procurement—all from one system, without third-party tools.

What is Integrated B2B Supply Chain Management in Healthcare?

Integrated B2B Supply Chain Management in healthcare refers to the seamless connection between medical practices and their suppliers through a centralized digital system. Instead of relying on manual ordering processes(telephone, email, fax) or multiple external platforms, clinics can manage inventory, place orders, track deliveries, and automate restocking—all within a single, unified platform. This approach improves efficiency, reduces operational costs, minimizes stockouts, and ensures clinics have timely access to essential medical supplies.

What is eDopamine’s B2B Medical Supply Chain Management (SCM) ?

eDopamine offers an integrated B2B supply chain platform as part of its medical ERP ecosystem. This multi-tenant system includes a dedicated portal for medical suppliers, where they can create an account and list their products. The basic tier is free for suppliers, and we only take a commission when a clinic places an order making it attractive for suppliers to join and reach a wider customer base.Suppliers receive their own login and access to useful tools such as demand forecasting, order analytics, and reporting. Advanced features are available in a paid plan, while the basic tier includes essential analytics. Clinics can also invite their preferred suppliers to join the platform, making procurement more streamlined, automated, and efficient. This is a separate platform & suppliers do not have access to our main ERP which has sensitive medical data.

How does the SCM module work in eDopamine?

eDopamine’s Supply Chain Management (SCM) module is fully integrated into our core ERP system, ensuring a seamless link between treatment workflows and inventory operations. Within the ERP, medical practices can manage their inventory and define all treatments or services offered. Each treatment can be linked to one or more medical supplies or inventory items. When a treatment is completed and marked as done in the system, the corresponding inventory quantities are automatically adjusted eliminating the need for manual stock tracking. If stock levels fall below the predefined reorder threshold, the system instantly notifies the practice and the assigned supplier.Depending on configuration preferences, eDopamine can also automatically generate and send purchase orders to suppliers, streamlining the procurement process and ensuring supplies are always available when needed.

Is the feature compliant with GDPR & medical data protection regulations?

Yes, eDopamine’s SCM module is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable medical data protection laws within the European Union and Germany. The supplier portal operates as a secure, multi-tenant environment completely isolated from the core ERP system that handles sensitive medical and patient data. All communication between the ERP and the supplier portal is conducted through encrypted REST APIs, ensuring data integrity and access control. Suppliers have no visibility or access to protected health information (PHI), maintaining strict compliance with legal and ethical data handling standards.
